POSITION SUMMARY: Unload 50 lb bags of salt/gravel from conveyor and stack onto pallets, restack bags of salt/gravel on pallets’, clean work area, blend salt product with chemicals and dyes and operate shrink wrap machine. Employee must be able to tolerate harsh work environment. Must be dependable, detail oriented, with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn and take direction.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Show up on time
- Learn and comply with company policies and procedures
- Use appropriate language
- Clean and sweep all work areas and equipment, daily
- Use company equipment for their intended use only
- Stack 50lb bags of salt/gravel product onto pallets
- Operate shrink wrap machinery
- Blend product
- Physically dexterous, must be able to safely lift and carry 50-75 lbs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIROMENT: Work involves moderate to heavy work in all types of weather employee must be able to tolerate harsh work environment. There is frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, lift heavy objects (up to 50-75 lbs) and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 or more years’ experience required doing manual labor
- Physically dexterous, must be able to safely lift and carry 50-75 lbs.
- Attention to detail
- Skilled in performing routine manual labor tasks
- General knowledge of maintenance and cleaning tasks
- Able to work in extreme weather conditions
- Reliable transportation
- Able to work day or night shift
- Flexible work schedule ~ able to work overtime with occasional Saturdays and Sundays
