POSITION SUMMARY: This is a full-time year round position. Available to work any day of the week including overtime as needed. Seeking dependable, detail oriented, with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn and take direction.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Hauling various dump materials from one location to another while following the traffic safety laws
- Skilled in weighing dump material and making calculations as per capacity of the dump truck
- Knowledge of organizational guidelines and OSHA rules and regulations regarding dump truck loading, unloading and driving
- Proficient knowledge in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Mechanical expert adept at troubleshooting minor truck operation problems
- Capable of vigilant monitoring of the engine and gauging fuel efficiency
- Diligent at completing necessary paperwork legibly and on time
- Complete Daily Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
- Maintain truck cleanliness, proper permits and registrations
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIROMENT: Work involves moderate to heavy work in all types of weather. There is frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, lift heavy objects (up to 100 lbs) and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Dependable hard worker with 3-5 years of experience in dump truck hauling, side dumps, transport trailers and water trucks
- Physically dexterous, must be able to safely lift and carry 100 lbs.
- Honest and trustworthy
- Able to work in extreme weather conditions
- Class A CDL
- Valid Driver’s License
- Clean MVR
- Current Medical Card
- DOT Pre-Employment Drug Screen required
- Reliable transportation
- Flexible work schedule
- Able to work overtime
- Able to work Saturdays and Sundays
